the painted lady 3x04
Okay, I’ve never been much of a kataang shipper but I found myself watching The Painted Lady at one in the morning (don’t ask why) and this scene came up and BAM for the first time ever I was hit with kataang feels and here’s why.
So as we all know, in order to save the town, Katara disguises herself as the Painted Lady spirit and Aang is hiding beneath the dock to help her pull it off. In this scene, a firebender is about to strike Katara when Aang airbends her off the ground at the last second.
But to be honest, its not Aang saving her that gets to me. Look at how in that fifth gif Katara doesn’t make any move to defend herself at all. We all know she could have kicked that firebender’s ass with just one simple waterbending move but she doesn’t. She stands completely still. Why? Because she doesn’t doubt for a second that Aang will take care of her.
AND JUST UGH MY FEELS OK I’VE NEVER HAD THESE BEFORE

i would much rather be the “obnoxious feminist girl” than be complicit in my own dehumanization, thanks
For my brat of a best friend, threemarauders, who came up with the idea AU: James Potter’s memory is modified by Death Eaters and joins Voldemort. Now that I’ve made it into a set, let’s never talk about it again, okay?

Weirdly, despite dying youngest and first of his friends, I think James Potter probably did the most maturing of the Marauders. They were all forced to grow up in the war, but mentally, both Sirius and Peter were impeded from maturing past the age of 21. Peter because he spent so long as his animagus form, distant from experiencing true human emotion, and Sirius because he spent so long in Azkaban, forced to relive his darkest memories/feelings, barely maintaining his sanity let alone changing as a human being. While James and Remus were of similar levels of maturity in adulthood, Remus was traumatized by losing everyone he loved in the span of days, and you can see it later on. James put his own feelings aside to go into hiding to protect his pregnant wife; Remus momentarily put his fear of harming his family ahead of his duty to take care of them, and it was Harry’s words about James not doing such a thing that brought him back. James Potter, at 21, was able to force himself to stop fighting for a cause he truly believed in even when his son wasn’t even born yet, to sit at home restlessly and take care of his baby, to step wandless in front of a much more powerful wizard so his family could potentially escape. He was a far cry from the arrogant fifteen-year-old he used to be. The level of change he underwent was vastly larger than the other Marauders, even though we have less exposure to him as an adult than we do to any of his friends.
The Stilinski Timeline
"I saw an MRI that looked exactly like my wife’s…and it terrifies me…"
Inspired from the quote above (and the many events in 3b), decided it was high time to create some sort of family history of the Stilinski’s. Try to catch some of the symbolism I put in :)
"It’s you and me Stefan, always.”
